As HUMC’s administrative assistant, I’m responsible for publishing the weekly bulletins and monthly newsletter, keeping the calendar up-to-date, and answering whatever questions happen to arise—one of the rewarding aspects of my job. This church is blessed to have so many people involved in so many activities that it’s not always easy to know where an answer is to be found. While I might not have an immediate answer, I can usually find one.
Since I love to read, I enjoy participating in the Novels at Night group here at the church. We share our love of books as well as fellowship. I also love music; I sing and play in the Chancel Choir, the Wesley Ringers handbell choir, and the flute ensemble.
My family includes my husband Ed, three adult children, and one grandchild on the way.
Little-Known Fact: A longtime volunteer on HUMC’s Appalachia Service Project trips, Kay earned the nickname “The K-Train” for her worksite skills.
