Looking back on my life’s journey, I realize how blessed I have been. I was blessed with loving parents who worked hard, attended church, and provided my brother and me with the opportunity not only to succeed individually but also to make a difference in the lives of others. At an early age, I developed a passion for baseball. I played for Bowling Green State University and, after graduating, became a teacher and coach. It was an honor to work with young people, helping them grow and become responsible adults. But after six wonderful years, God called me into professional ministry. I must admit that I’m still a coach at heart.
I’ve now served more than 30 years as a United Methodist pastor. I still have passion and enthusiasm for ministry, and I’m excited about what God has in store for me and our church. Each day, I give thanks for my loving wife, Rosemary, who has walked beside me all these years. We are blessed with three children: Erik, who is also a United Methodist pastor and is married to Amanda; Lauren, who is married to Brandon; and Joel who with Jamie are the parents of our first grandchild, Aubrey.
Yes, I am truly blessed!
Little known fact: When time permits, Pastor Larry loves to landscape and work in the garden.
