In our class we discuss how and why a current event impacts our faith. Every week the current issue of “The Wired Word” (containing a topic, Bible references, and questions) is emailed to members. Everyone present is encouraged to engage in the discussion. Christian guidance on the issue is explored. Our goal is to seek the truth and eliminate the deception or “spin” that seems to be present in current news.

Book Class
Room 141, 143
The Book Class reads and discusses books that help us live as Christians. This fall starts with Enough by Adam Hamilton which explores Bible teachings on faith, wealth, generosity, and simplicity in this hard time. The next book, Seismic Shifts by Kevin Harney, talks of positive, quality change that can help you by making small adjustments in just the right places. Then, Love As A Way of Life by Gary Chapman looks at 7 characteristics of authentic love based on Scriptures to apply to family, life and workplace. Last is 5 Languages of Apology by Gary Chapman, a discussion on the need to recognize, the need to hear and express the words and gestures of apology in a different language.

Ties That Bind
