Bruce C. Hartley, Senior Pastor
How long have you been at HUMC? Since July 1, 2022.
What is your favorite Bible verse or book of the Bible? I am not inclined to have a favorite. I am drawn to verses depending on the condition of my soul – these are a few I have found that refresh my soul: Psalm 37:5, Psalm 90:12, Proverbs 4:23, 2 Corinthians 12:9
What is your favorite hymn? Again, I hesitate to identify a favorite. When God stirs my soul with music, it may include: Spirit of the Living God, God of Grace and God of Glory, Help Us Accept Each Other, Hymn of Promise, I Will Follow Him (the Sister Act 1 version), Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee (Sister Act 2 version), Hallelujah (Pentatonix is good by our daughter Susan is the Best!)
What is your favorite part of your job? Walking with others to realize God’s healing grace already moving in their lives.
What is your favorite food? No favorite, it depends on my mood.
