Childcare on Sunday Mornings
Childcare is available for infants through 3-year-olds during Worship. Each child will need to be signed in and signed out by a parent.
- Nursery care for infants and toddlers.
Children’s Sunday School 10:50 a.m.
- Preschool-Grade 1 Room 113
- Grades 2–5 Room 112/114
- Grades 6-12 Youth Room (lower level)
At Hudson UMC, worship isn’t just for grown-ups. We actively encourage kids to participate, too. Every Sunday during the sermon time, kids ages 4 years through Grade 5 are invited to participate in a brief time of stories, games, or activities designed to teach the morning’s sermon lesson at their own level of understanding. You’ll also find children’s worship bulletins and “activity bags” (for ages 3-8) hanging on the tree just outside the sanctuary door.
Bible Workshop for 3rd graders
In Grade 3, students receive the gift of a Bible from Hudson United Methodist Church. They are then invited to attend a fun activity day to help them learn how to use their Bible. Students are encouraged to attend Bible Workshop every year! Any students (Grade 3 and above) who do not have their own Bibles and would like one are asked to contact the Director of Family Ministries.
Confirmation Class
In Confirmation class, we study United Methodist beliefs, history, theology, and doctrine. Confirmation class is also a spiritual experience that encourages our youth to explore their own personal faith. This class is designed for Grade 7 and above and is offered every other year. Please contact the Director of Family Ministries for more information.
Youth Programs
In addition to regular Sunday school, youth in Grades 6-12 are invited to attend periodic youth and service events throughout the community as well as within Hudson United Methodist Church. In keeping with our culture of intergenerational ministry, Hudson UMC’s youth are invited to join in service, ministry, and educational opportunities along with fellow adult and youth members throughout the year.
At Hudson UMC, we love and value our children, youth, and families, and we believe that our best ministry to them is accomplished through a distinct combination of children, youth, family, and intergenerational ministries. We believe in incorporating our children and youth into every aspect of church life and in bringing our multiple generations together as much as possible.
